Sherry’s Hope was founded in memory of Sherry Whitaker, a wife and mother who passed away at the age of 44 after battling colon cancer. Sherry’s story of faith and courage continues to inspire hope through the Sherry’s Hope organization. That message of hope shines at the Sherry’s Hope Gala, acknowledging that everyone has a Sherry in their lives, they just go by a different name. The Sherry’s Hope Gala is a time to honor the “Sherrys” who have touched our lives and to stand in hope with local families facing cancer. All proceeds from the Sherry’s Hope Gala benefit families in Wilson County and surrounding communities by helping ease the financial burden of a cancer diagnosis.
The 2026 Sherry’s Hope Gala will be held March 28 at the Farm Bureau Expo Center in Lebanon, Tn. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. for hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction, followed by dinner, a Sherry’s Hope beneficiary testimonial, entertainment, and a high-stakes live auction. Guests are invited to attend in semi-formal to formal attire and be part of a night where every seat filled helps bring hope to local families when they need it most.
