Where Hope Shines Bright: The 2026 Sherry’s Hope Gala
The Sherry’s Hope Gala presented by Cheers was held March 28, 2026, at the Farm Bureau Expo Center and brought the community together for an evening of generosity and hope, all in support of local families facing cancer.
The night featured both silent and live auctions, with generous donations from local businesses and individuals. Attendees also shared a meal from Two Fat Men Catering, while the Jazz Alliance Band provided music throughout the evening. A charity trunk show by The Jewelers gave guests the opportunity to purchase beautiful jewelry while supporting the cause.
One of the most meaningful moments of the night came when cancer survivor and Sherry’s Hope recipient Sheila Carpenter-Poole shared her personal battle with cancer, offering encouragement and inspiration to everyone in the room.
The Sherry’s Hope Executive Board would like to express heartfelt thanks to the committee members, sponsors, donors, and volunteers who made the evening possible. Their continued support allows the organization to serve families in need. From 2021 through 2025, Sherry’s Hope has provided more than $1.25 million in assistance to hundreds of families facing cancer, and funds raised from this year’s gala will help continue that mission.
“This community continues to show up in incredible ways,” said Executive Board member Kevin Bass. “Every act of generosity helps Sherry’s Hope be the bridge from hardship to hope for families as they navigate the challenges of cancer.”
The night would not have been possible without the hard work of the gala committee: Gary Whitaker, Ginger Naylor, Danielle Imbaratto, DeAnna Dodd, Dorie Mitchell, and Amity Cagle.
