BUILD A TEAM 2017

Are you and your team ready for the 14th Annual Sherry’s Run 5K Run/Walk?  Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 8 am. 
 

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO NOW?

 
Spirit Nights (formerly Team Captain Pick up and Drop off dates):
 
  • Tuesday    July 25        4:00 pm - 6:00 pm (Come & Go)
  • Tuesday    August 8      4:00 pm - 6:00 pm (Come & Go)
  • Tuesday    August 22    4:00 pm - 6:00 pm (Come & Go)
  • Tuesday    Sept. 5        4:00 pm - 6:00 pm (Come & Go)
We will kicking off our Sherry’s Run open house dates on July 25th.  This will be a come and go for the team captains to pick up packets and ask any questions. We encourage you to use our on-line registration process after you have picked up your materials. It is quick and easy to set your team up, and a great way to keep your team organized.

We will also be available on the 3 other dates above to give you registration forms (for any team members who are unable to register on-line), posters, answer any questions, and accept registration forms and money.  All team captains who stop by will be given a Sherry's Run money bag to help you keep up with money and registration forms.  Please stop by on the scheduled team meeting dates to pick up any materials that you might need to promote your team.  
 
**All open house dates will be held at the Sherry's Run office located at 110 Babb Drive, Lebanon, TN (across from the CO-OP).

**We will also have Sherry’s Run retail items (t-shirts, car magnets, bags, and much more) and green bows available to purchase, so come ready to shop for Sherry’s Run!**

 

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?

ONLINE REGISTRATION:

Online registration is now open!  Click here to register online and set up your team!

**ATTN: Team Captains - Very Important**

  1. Please be sure to register yourself and set up your team online before inviting others to join your team!
  2. Online registration is strongly encouraged for team captains!
    1. You must set up an account (email address, password, contact information, etc.) at www.RunSignUp.com to be able to be listed as a team captain within their system.  If you register online, this is taken care of during the registration process.  (If you registered online for Sherry's Run any year since 2013 with www.RunSignUp.com then you should already have an account set up in their system.  Please just make sure that all account informatoin is up to date - especially your email address.) 
    2. If you register by paper form, you can still set up an account on www.RunSignUp.com.  Once on their site, just click on "set up" and fill in the requested information.  It does not cost anything the set up an account.  If you do this before you send in your paper form then we will be able to associate your name and paper registration as team captain with your team name when we enter it into their system offline.  
    3. If you do not set up an account in the www.RunSignUp.com system, we will not be able to associate your name and paper registration as team captain with your team name when we enter it into their system offline.  Because of this, we will not have your contact information available for email updates, notificatoins when someone joins your team, etc.

TEAM T-SHIRTS

Team members who register on or before August 25th will be guaranteed a Sherry’s Run event t-shirt. If you would like to have special team t-shirts made, we highly encourage that – especially since we are excited to announce that we are continuing the Team t-shirt competition this year.  If you would like to have the official Sherry’s Run logo printed on your t-shirt, please e-mail me and I will send a jpeg for you to download.  You are welcome to use any t-shirt printing company that you choose, but we would like to make you aware that Southeast Impressions will donate 10% of their team t-shirt sales back to Sherry’s Run. Since there are so many teams, the earlier you order, the better. Out of courtesy to Southeast Impressions, please order all of your t-shirts at one time. TEAM T-SHIRT COMPETITION

All teams will have an opportunity to showcase their creativity once again this year by creating a unique design on your team’s t-shirts. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by Monday, September 4th if your team will be participating in the t-shirt competition.  In order to be considered for the “Best Team T-Shirt” award, your team must submit a shirt by Friday, September 8th for display at the event site.

 

•The t-shirt design should be specific to your team.

•The winner will be determined by the amount of donations received at the Team T-shirt Competition booth at the event site.  

•The winning team will be announced at 9:30 am on race day. You will receive a plaque to proudly display in your home or office.

 

TEAM PICTURES

You will have the opportunity to have a team picture made on event day prior to the race.  You MUST email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by August 25th if you want to have a team picture made.  Your team will then be assigned a picture time which will be e-mailed to you before the race so you may share this with your team. Please have all team members who want to be in the picture arrive at the Mitchell House at least 10 minutes before your scheduled time. There will be color-coded balloons flying high to help you find the right photographer and location for your photo.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it. no later than August 25th to let us know if your team wants to have a team picture taken.  If we do not receive your email by that date, your team will not be able to have a team picture made.  
 
T-SHIRT PICK-UP
 
Early t-shirt pick-up will be Thursday and Friday, September 7 & 8, 11:00 am – 7:00 pm at the event site. Each individual is responsible for picking up his/her own shirt. Shirts will NOT be boxed by team. If you need to pick up your entire team’s t-shirts, it is your responsibility to bring a list of the sizes and how many of each size that you need.  We will not have access to your team member info and their t-shirt sizes at the event site.
 

PAINT YOUR TOWN GREEN

Help “Paint Your Town Green”!!  Join us as we raise awareness by displaying green bows on your house, mailbox, car, business or church. Green bows may be purchased for $10 each by printing and mailing in our 2017 Green Bow Order Form. You will also have the chance to order bows when you register either by paper form or on-line. FUNDRAISING

We have fundraising tools available if you are interested in doing additional fundraising for Sherry's Run.  You can set goals and invite your friends and family to help you reach your Sherry's Run fundraising goal. You can set up your fundraising page when you register on-line.

1) What is the registration fee? 

  •Participant (walker or runner – no timing chip) $30

  •Runner with a Timing Chip $35

  •Event Day Registration (no timing chips available) $40

 

Have a conflict on September 9th and can’t attend? You can still show your support:

  •Sleep In for Sherry’s Run  $35 (includes shipping to mail event t-shirt after the run)
