New Sherry’s Run DVD Shares Personal Motivations Behind Growing Benefit Event

Public Viewing of Video Scheduled for August 26th and 28th

LEBANON, TENN. - - September 2, 2008 - As with so many other efforts they’ve witnessed over the last few years, organizers of Sherry’s Run had little trouble finding a group of individuals willing to step forward on behalf of the annual cancer-related benefit recently.  This time, however, the work of supporters was done entirely in front of a camera, for the purposes of shooting a promotional and inspirational video that will encourage others to join their numbers.

The new DVD offers a brief and inspirational collection of accounts from Sherry’s Run supporters and beneficiaries, including stories about the person who inspired the event, Sherry Whitaker, and testimonies about how Sherry’s Run has affected cancer victims and volunteers alike.  The video can be seen by the general public at two separate community viewing events on Tuesday, August 26th at 12 noon or Thursday, August 28th at 7 p.m. at Maple Hill Church of Christ, West Main Street, Lebanon.  It will also be shown to a number of area clubs and organizations in the coming weeks, and additional showings for community groups can be arranged by contacting the Sherry’s Run committee at 615-975-1081 or 615-218-8810.  For more information on Sherry’s Run, please call or visit online at

The fifth annual Sherry’s Run will take place on September 13, 2008 at 8 a.m. in Lebanon, beside the main office of Wilson Bank & Trust on West Main Street.  Register today to participate
