LEBANON, TENN. – September 19, 2014 -- Great music, delicious food and a lot of fun -- Did you know that eating your favorite foods and dancing to great LIVE music can help give hope to your neighbors who are battling cancer? Join us at the 12th Annual “Low Country Boil” on Saturday, October 4th, 2014 at the “top of the hill” in Southfork Subdivision at 2212 Cartel Drive in Lebanon.

The “Low Country Boil” has become a beloved Wilson County tradition with the mission of giving hope to those who battle cancer. The event has benefited Sherry’s Run for many years, but this will be the first year that 100% of the proceeds are given to this faith based non-profit.

The “Low Country Boil” originated twelve years ago with a group of men who call themselves The Shamrock Society. Over the years, several members of the society have been personally affected by cancer and therefore, have a passion for this particular cause. “The personal way that Sherry’s Run serves cancer patients and their families right here in our community makes them the ideal beneficiary for this hometown fundraiser,” said Scott Harris, owner of The Art Mill and co-coordinator of the “Low Country Boil.”

Start with a Low Country inspired menu consisting of Two Fat Men Cajun chicken, shrimp, sausage, red beans, dirty rice, and a variety of delicious desserts; add in live music and dancing and the event truly becomes a celebration of life! And of course, you will want to stick around after dinner for the Live and Silent auctions.

Tickets are available at a cost of $50 per person and can be purchased at the event or in advance by contacting (615) 449-8594, online at www.lowcountryboiltn.com or at the Sherry’s Run office (110 Babb Dr., Lebanon): Monday - Friday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
