Give Hope This Christmas

christmasdonationcard-2.jpg

Do you have the one person on your shopping list who already has everything? Are you tired of giving the same ole fruit basket to your clients? What about a special gift for that teacher? Sherry’s Run has the perfect gift idea for you…

As you create your shopping list for the holidays this year, consider making room to give the gift of hope to your neighbors battling cancer. For just a minimum $10 donation, you can send this beautful card to someone special this holiday season.

These cards make excellent client gifts, teacher gifts, or even stocking stuffers. You can order by calling (615) 925-2592 or by email at sherrysrun@gmail.com. Simply tell us how many cards you would like and the name(s) and address(es) of your recipients. Or, if you prefer, the cards can be sent straight to you. Orders must be received by December 16 in order to guarantee delivery by Christmas.

Remember, Sherry’s Run is assisting patients 52 weeks a year and their battle doesn’t take a break for the holidays. In fact, this can be an especially difficult time for many families emotionally and financially. Your $10 donation could put dinner on the table for a family at Christmas. Your $25 donation could allow them to keep their water on for the month of December. Your gift matters more than you know!

Faith, courage, optimism and a desire to help others were qualities that defined Sharon “Sherry” Patterson Whitaker. Both before and after the energetic wife and mother was diagnosed with colon cancer, the impression she made on her family, friends and community was undeniable. While her battle in the flesh was lost in 2004, the spirit she had shown throughout life continues to touch more lives every day. Because of Sherry’s Run, a 5K run/walk benefit organized in Sherry’s memory, area cancer victims and their families can make strides toward becoming cancer survivors, and researchers are a small step closer to stopping the disease for good.
