5K Event Logistics

Chair: Scott Jasper/Elvis Huff
Works on all aspects of course, layout, materials needed.  Obtain approval from city and work with law enforcement.

Marketing Team

Chair: Katie Henson, Director; Hayley Chaffin, Marketing Associate
Develops event and patient stories for media, coordinates 5K event announcements, and all correspondence. Coordinates with all media onsite for 5K event.  

5K Sponsorship

Chair: Sherry's Run Board of Directors and Staff
Work with existing and new sponsors. 

Volunteers

Chair: Kayla Hawkins 
Helps recruit volunteers for all events needing volunteers.  

5K Event Information Systems

Chair: Staff
Inputs all information received from participants, calculates, prints reports and supplies information to registration on event day. 

5K Event Set up and Breakdown

Chair: Mike Johnson/Matthew Whitaker/David Liddle
Set up prior to event.  Breakdown and clean up after event. Coordinate with all committee chairs for set up and breakdown of their location.

5K Event Opening Ceremony

Chair: Board of Directors and Staff
Coordinates, announces, and prepares opening remarks, and race day announcements

5K Event Site Registration

Chair: Tracy Hallums
Organizes volunteers for registration tent. Check all pre registered and event day registration. Breakdown and organize all items used for registration to prepare for storage.

5K Event Hospitality/Refreshments

Chair: Lisa Painter 
Coordinate and set up food and refreshment tables at the tent. Clean up area and breakdown.

5K Event Finish Line & Timing

Chair: Scott Jasper
Besttimescct (Memphis, TN) - assists timing company with electricity, information and support.

5K Event Awards Ceremony

Chair: Scott Jasper, Members: Dana Jones & Becky Taylor
Arrange and distribute awards.  .

5K Event Course Marshalls and Water Stations

Chair: Elvis Huff
Set up mile markers and barriers.  Direct runners and walkers along route. Collect all mile markers and barriers and clean up any area necessary. Arrange for water station locations and supply water, cups and coolers to water stations.

5K Event & Mardi Gras at the Captiol Silent Auction and Mardi Gras at the Captiol Live Auction

Chairs: Tammye & Gary Whitaker
Collect, organizes, displays auction items, oversees and collects all monies for items sold. Makes sure all purchased items gets to their new owners. Balances and reports to Board. Cleans up and prepares all remaining items for storage.

Mardi Gras at the Capitol Event Auctioneer

Chair: Matthew Whitaker
Auction all live auctions off and coordinates with auction committee chairs.

5K Event Teams

Chair: Ashlee Chance 
Works with prospective teams and promotes the team portion of the event

5K Event Parking

Chair: Brad Anderson
Coordinates parking facility and oversees trolley. Checks all parking areas for cleanliness.

5K Event Photographers

Chair: Bess Anne Warren
Coordinates photographers for the 5K event.

5K Event Day Communication

Hugh Bennett/MJ Lucas/Mac Griffin
Supplies sound equipment for entertainment and announcements, Emcee 5K event and assist with sound for opening and award ceremonies and silent auction tent.
