What is a virtual event?

A virtual event just means you can participate from any location! You can run, walk or jog in your neighborhood, at the park, on the trail, at the gym, on the treadmill, wherever you choose! Run or walk with your family, on your own or with some friends. It’s your own race, so you can run or walk at your own pace and time it yourself!

What if I don’t want to run, jog or walk. Am I still able to participate?

Yes, absolutely! You can participate without ever leaving your house! Simply sign up for our sleep in registration. Sleep in registration just means we will mail the shirt to you after the event date (September 12, 2020).

I don’t run or walk and I really don’t need another t-shirt, but I love that Sherry’s Run helps so many people in the community. Can I just send you a donation?

Yes, we gratefully accept donations via regular mail and online donation.

Please mail donations to Sherry’s Run, P.O. Box 8, Lebanon, TN 37088.

How do I register?

Register online at https://runsignup.com/Race/TN/Lebanon/SherrysRun

Stop by our office at 110 Babb Drive, Lebanon on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays from 10 am until 2 pm to fill out a paper registration form.

Print the paper registration form (click here) and mail it back to us along with your registration fee.

Stop by the event site (623 West Main Street, Lebanon) on September 11th from 11 am until 7 pm and September 12th from 8 am until 11 am to register in person.

How much is registration and what does it include?

Participant registration from now until August 12th is $20. On August 13th this increases to $30.

Sleep in registration from now until August 12th is $25. On August 13th this increases to $35.

All registrations include an event t-shirt. It is the same shirt for participant and sleep in registrations. Youth and adult sizes are available.

What is the difference between a participant registration and a sleep in registration?

Participant registrations will pick up their event t-shirt. Sleep in registrations will have their event t-shirt mailed to them after the event date (September 12, 2020).

Where and when do I pick up my event t-shirt?

Shirts may be picked up at the event site (the grass area next to 623 West Main Street, Lebanon). Look for the large white tent and Sherry’s Run signs. Pick up is Friday, September 11 from 11 am until 7 pm and Saturday, September 12 from 8 am until 11 am.

Can someone else pick up my shirt for me?

Yes, they will either need a copy of your registration confirmation email (printed or electronic) or the name used for registration. We will have a list of everyone who has registered for the event and will check off names as shirts are picked up.

How do I get one of those green bows I’ve seen around town?

Stop by the Sherry’s Run office at 110 Babb Drive, Lebanon on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays from 10 am until 2 pm. Bows are available for a suggested donation of $10 each.

Am I able to still run or walk the usual Sherry’s Run 5K course? I’ve been doing it for years and I don’t want to miss a year. Besides, I really love that hill on Castle Heights Avenue.

We wouldn’t advise you running or walking the usual course because the roads will not be closed to traffic! The course is along city streets and we don’t have the authority to prevent you from running or walking down city streets. However, we certainly suggest you follow all safety rules.

Please keep in mind when the event is not virtual, we have police officers and volunteers helping to keep participants safe by closing roads, stopping traffic and blocking intersections. We also have volunteers staffing water stations along the course and provide food, water and sports drinks at the end of the course. This year, none of this will be available because it is a virtual event.
