BUILD A TEAM
A fun and exciting way to participate in the Race is to build a team. Groups of ten or more constitute a team and are required to pre-register either online (Preferred Method) or in paper format. Teams are eligible for team awards such as; Most Money Raised, Most Team Participants, Most Team Spirit, and Best Team Sign Competition. All team members are encouraged to raise an additional $100 per person.
Team photos are offered on Race Day prior to the Race in front of the Mitchell House on the event grounds starting at 6:15am. Your team will be assigned a time for your photo. For more information contact Wendi Warren at 615-400-2032.
I WANT TO BE A TEAM CAPTAIN…HOW DO I GET STARTED?
- Contact Wendi Warren/Team Chair with your name and your team name (contact information below).
- Gather friends, family, co-workers, neighbors and/or church members to form a team.
- All team members should register on active.com or on a registration form. If they register via paper, you areresponsible for making sure their signed form & money are enclosed in this envelope.Please do not staple money to the forms!
- Communicate with your team regarding all information you receive from the Team Chair.
Your efforts will be recognized on www.sherrysrun.org and on event day. Awards will be given to the team with the Most Participants, Most Money Raised, Most Team Spirit and Best Team Sign.

A team multiplies the excitement, laughter, tears and hugs and also makes more of an impact on the fight against colon cancer. Together, along with your team members you form a force much greater then you can do alone.
You don’t have to wait to form a team before registering. Sign up today online and then get your friends and family together to join you. If you register as a team captain, you will receive a Team Captain Kit to help you begin building your team. If you are interested in having personalized team t-shirts printed, Southeast Impressions, a local company in Lebanon would be glad to do that for you. They are donating 10% of all the team t-shirt sales back to Sherry’s Run. Please print this 2011 Team T-shirt Order Form and then contact Terry or Janyce Spurlock at 615-443-4700 or jspurlock@seimpressions.com to place your order. They are located at 106 Bay Court in Lebanon. The deadline for ordering team t-shirts is August 25, 2011.
